The Story Rewrite Method
How I got my confidence back after a 15-year abusive marriage, using my 60-minute Story Rewrite Method.

I spent 15 years in an abusive marriage. I didn't deserve it. By the end, I didn't know who I was.
I left in 2022. I was anxious and paranoid all the time. I put cameras up inside and outside my house.
I didn't want to go places. I was trapped in my own head, asking the same question over and over: "What did I do to deserve this?"
And now I was the only breadwinner for me and my two kids. They were 14 and 17.
So I read every book I could find. I did the inner work. Then my therapist had me rewrite the story of the worst moment in my marriage.
That's where it turned.
I stopped seeing myself as a victim. Without that marriage, I wouldn't have started my business. I wouldn't have read the books that changed me.
I'm grateful for all of it now. I loved someone who couldn't love me the way I needed to be loved. That's all it was.
I still feel anxious sometimes. The difference is, I respond now instead of react.
I run a home repair business I built from nothing. For years it sat at about $120,000. Last year it was $118,000.
This year I stopped holding back. I quoted a $30,000 deck and a nearly $50,000 deck without flinching. Before, I'd have dropped the price.
By the end of September, I was at $195,000, with three months still to go. That's what happened once my confidence came back.
People tell me they feel safe with me and don't feel judged. Strangers in Lowe's tell me their life story.
The Story Rewrite Method is the process I wish I'd had back in 2022.

Something happened you didn't deserve. You can't stop replaying it. It's eating your confidence and holding your business back.
What happened is over. The story you tell about it runs every day. Each replay makes you the victim again. And victims don't ask for what they're worth.
Rewrite the story so it gives you confidence instead of taking it.
Something reminds you, and the movie starts again. "Why me?"
You're back in the worst moment. You feel like the victim again.
You drop your price. You skip the call. You second-guess the move.
Playing small seems to prove the story right. So tomorrow it runs again.
Pushing harder at step 3 won't hold for long. The place to break the loop is step 1, the story itself.
Most of what we try keeps the same story running. We just tell it in a new way.
